We carry a wide range of hot laminated Flat bars, including A-36, 44W and 50W. We also carry cold rolled C-1018 steel.
Commercial quality (CQ) Flat is ordinarily produced from killed or semi-killed steel and does not have a high degree of uniformity in chemical composition and mechanical properties. CQ steel is furnished when specific mechanical test values are not required and where surface imperfections are not objectionable.
A36 & 44W Hot Rolled Steel Flat, are widely used for all general fabrication and repairs in industrial maintenance, agricultural implements, transportation equipment, etc. It’s easy to weld, cut, form, and machine. Applications: frame work, braces, supports, plates, straps, etc.
C1018 Cold Finish Flat is a general purpose low carbon steel with good case hardening qualities and is especially suited for cold forming and bending. Applications: Fixtures, mounting plates, machine components, etc.
4140 Alloy Steel Flat is a cold drawn annealed steel recommended for heavy duty service. It has high hardenability, good fatigue, abrasion, and impact resistance. It is deep hardening suitable for severe service characterized by fatigue, abrasion, impact, high temperature stresses Applications: brake dies, fixtures, jigs, blades, tool holders, etc.
